ABC cable is for overhead power distribution.

Constructure:

Phase conductors: Concentrically stranded EC Grade Aluminium wires, insulated with either black weather resistant cross linked polyethylene(XLPE) or polyethylene(PE). The conductor insulation is marked with longitudinal ridges for phase identification.

Neutral messengers: Concentrically stranded AAC or 6201-alloy or ACSR. Neutral messenger can either be bare or insulated, depending on ABC design.

Standards: ASTM B, ICEA S

Sizes: Single, Duplex(1+1), Triplex(2+1), Quadruplex(3+1), section from 6AWG to 4/0AWG.
